Alas, it is now Millennials’ turn to have ads targeted at us about the rigors of modern parenting and the deep, spiritual need for a temporary escape.
But to reach Edison-bulb-loving former hipsters, nostalgic for stomp-and-holler bands, skinny jeans, and no-show socks (you can pry those from my cold dead hands), an ad has to speak Millennials’ true love language: burnout.
Our social batteries are at 3%. Someone get us an iced matcha.
A major draw of Virgin Voyages is its “no children” policy. Pair that with a little nostalgia bait and a knowing appeal to burnout culture, and you’ve got yourself an ad campaign there, my friend.
